Borongan District Visits the Manila Philippines Temple

I can't believe this... It's been 3 years since the last time I saw the Borongan Saints. I went home from mission April of 2005, and now it's already 2008!

Looking Back: 2003 - 2005

It's just amaizing how the work had progressed over the land of Eastern Samar. I was assigned there first as a District Leader, then trained a new missionary, and became the Zone Leader until the end of my mission term. Being the District Leader and being a trainer means a lot. It adds to my account of being a leader. Much more because I experienced it in Dolores, Eastern Samar. With a small branch of the church to survive, (Elder) Santillan and I started workign out for the betterment of the area. Then came (Elder) Ceniza my new companion whom I trained. I also handle the areas of Dapdap and Sulat. I served in this area for only six weeks. But it was very awesome and very challenging 6 weeks!

Then I got transferred to Borongan Branch (the center for their District). There I met wonderful and very accomodating and reliable branch missionaries (although that is not my first impression to them).

Pass forward: 2008

Now here they are, members visiting the Manila Philippines Temple. Just so good to see them still struggling and being the best they can be as obedient members of the Church!

Here are some pictures of them. Taken during their time at the Guadalupe Chapel in Makati City which served as their quarters since the Temple Patron House is already full.
